About the role

We are seeking a Site Project Coordinator or Graduate Engineer to join our team on an established mine remediation project near Teralba, NSW. Occasional site visits or trips to the Newcastle office may be required during project delays.  

This role involves supporting the Senior Project Manager in running the site activities (being his eyes on the ground) and assisting him plan future work as required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established project team, gain exposure to innovative remediation techniques, and support the team in ensuring the safe and successful completion of the project.

Successful candidates that show passion and driven to meet expectations may have the opportunity to assist on future piling, ground improvement and minefill grouting projects throughout the region.

This role is solely for the duration of this project; however, for the right person, there may be future opportunities available.

 

Key responsibilities (under the guidance of the Project Manager)

  • Work alongside the project supervisor to achieve daily tasks, including pre-starting equipment
  • Perform quality control testing on a daily basis.
  • Meet all safety, construction, and technical requirements
  • Regularly report on site activities to the Project Manager
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Oversee pump operations and ensure they are running smoothly
  • Assist the site team with the daily flushing of the batch plant
  • Maintain excel spreadsheets to track project progress, materials, and other key data
