We are looking for an experienced and influential leader who can oversee various aspects of operations while actively guiding and mentoring their team.

The role

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the role involves developing, executing, and maintaining a clear strategy for the Victorian business, ensuring alignment with Keller's overarching business strategy. We seek a seasoned and impactful leader who can manage multiple facets of operations while actively leading and mentoring direct reports. The ideal candidate will also foster a collaborative and operationally excellent work environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible and accountable for the success of their region in line with business expectations and develops, implements, and maintains a clear strategy for their region that supports the overall business strategy.
  • Fosters a collaborative team culture of high performance, operational excellence and customer focus whilst always upholding company vision, values, and behaviours.
  • Maintains and actively manages an effective work pipeline to deliver results in line with company budget expectations.
  • Own and develop relationships with key and target clients, subcontractors and suppliers including timely resolution of disputes.
  • Actively leads and mentors’ direct reports to ensure a harmonious, collaborative and operationally excellent state team.
  • Accountable for effective risk identification and management throughout the project lifecycle in accordance with company procedures and authority limits.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and development as a member of Senior Leadership Team reporting into the Managing Director.

About you

To be successful in this role you will foster a collaborative team culture of high performance, operational excellence and customer focus whilst always upholding company vision, values and behaviours.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, or another relevant qualification.
  • Extensive experience in managing people, fostering teamwork and collaboration within your region and across the business.
  • Sound business and commercial acumen and extensive experiences managing projects and clients.
  • Detailed and demonstrable understanding of geotechnical and foundation systems.
  • Sound understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and harmonious relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors,and suppliers.
  • Previous experience with piling and ground improvement projects.
