The role
The rigger/dogman position is a temporary, 6-month project role based in Bundaberg, QLD, commencing in January 2025. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the project's success, contributing significantly to its effective execution.
- Select, inspect, and attach rigging equipment for safe load lifting
- Direct crane operators using hand signals and radio communication
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Perform load calculations and assess load stability
- Clear and prepare lift zones, coordinate with site personnel
- Maintain records of inspections and report safety hazards or incidents
What you bring to the role
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Piling or ground engineering experience (desirable
- Construction Industry white card
- Relevant dogging, rigger licence and working at heights tickets
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with other team members
- First Aid and Work at Heights certificate (desirable)
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical
