The role
The polymer operator position is a temporary, six-month project role based in Bundaberg, QLD, commencing in January 2025. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the project's success, contributing significantly to its effective execution.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful preparation, application, and management of polymer solutions to support piling and foundation operations. This hands-on role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of chemical handling procedures to maintain quality and safety standards.
You will be responsible for
- Prepare and mix polymer solutions according to project specifications and quality standards
- Operate and maintain polymer dosing equipment and associated machinery
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure polymer performance aligns with project requirements
- Monitor and adjust polymer application during operations to optimise results
- Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental protocols
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure seamless integration of polymer processes into piling operations
What you bring to the role
- Experience in handling, mixing, and applying polymer or chemical solutions in a construction or industrial setting
- Knowledge of polymer application techniques in piling or related ground engineering processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain dosing equipment
- A commitment to safety with knowledge of WHS procedures and standards
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues in real-time
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
