Atlas Piles are a low vibration cast-in-place pile installed using a long mandrel and short ‘burrowing type’ displacement auger head. By carefully controlling the extraction rate of the auger head a unique “screw” shaped pile shaft is achieved.
The screw shape takes maximum advantage of all available soil capacity by displacing the soil rather than replacing it and maximising the soil/shaft surface area. Using new generation high torque hydraulic piling rig atlas piles can be installed up to 30m in a single pass. Minimal spoil is produced by Atlas piles.
